Envelope Book

Here is another envelope book I did for a swap. This was a little different in that the envelopes were supposed to be put on paper and things added into them.

So I got some vintage pages from a novel I had here - books? here? No-o-o-o.

I added different envelopes to these pages and did a woodsy theme. She likes all kinds of things -scrapbooking, postcards, photos, and books so I stuffed the envelopes with them.

Okay... these first set are of our old living room windows and wall. We took out 2 old cottage windows that you could feel air come in and put in a new patio door! I love it - it gives so much more light and a way into the back yard which we didnt have.


Before- Sarah's hand in there! Lovely 70's paneling as well.







Good thing this whole operation only took a couple hours - nice big hole in my wall! I had to move some wiring and then we put the new door in!




Then we put on some pine siding. So much better!

Next, the kitchen...





Again, 2 old windows came out and we put in one bigger one - that I can open!



There is no after pic of this cause its still this way! We are doing the kitchen next, so not sure where all the cupboards are going yet and what I want to put on that wall?

Then there was another window in the living room on the opposite wall and replaced with a bigger one.




The pine is on this wall as well and the other 2 walls are painted. This is where I sit everyday to blog and read blogs and ebay and email and ..... I sit here alot! It is a nice view now anyways!

Well, today I am off and not sitting here(!) Going to the library and groceries -always fun!

I have some more pics but we are almost caught up with where we are now, I am working on the bathroom and I will post them when we are done. Sarah and I went away for the weekend and we came home to a nice cedar panelled bath! Love it! I have to do the floor and lighting and it will almost be done!

More house pics

Another update on the house- this is the pics of the addition.



This was before and then some trees came down,



Then the framing



Walls roof and windows went in.


Inside with the insulation. We lived in a bit like this and over last winter did the floor, ceiling and trim.




All that's left now is around the fireplace and that room is done!

Tomorrow I will show you what we did with the rest of the house.

Day 7!

The last one! It looked and felt like a magazine.


And it was! YAy! I haven't seen this one before either. So cool!




And these are my 7 packages before I sent them - now on their way to Australia! She didnt really like vintage and she likes pink so I packaged them this way.

My halloween post is about some chocolates Sarah and I made. Different colors made up some sticks and ghouly figures!




These are the sticks Sarah did with painted chocolate faces.



These are mine with painted chocolate colors. Very time consuming but they turned out neat!




I took one figure and 2 sticks and made up some halloween bags for our friends. Each tag was stamped with a spooky image and their names written on them and tied with some orange halloween ribbon.

Day 5

I just got home awhile ago - today was my first day alone at the library!(It's a small library)It went great - I love it! Books and getting paid for it? Is that not perfect for me?

Something else that is perfect for me are these presents! I love everything. Today was a flat pack.



I opened it to a bunch of scrapbooking supplies - great! Stickers, cardstock and a booklet with ideas. Do you see the MOOSE? I'm always looking for moose stickers and never see them. Also pine cones and trees? Did I say perfect?



Off to look at my books - fringe benefits!

Day 4 and a spooooky party!

I thought this one was some kind of metal cause I could hear it moving.




It was a case full of goodies!Sequins, ribbon, feathers and embellishments.



I also heard about a party yesterday! It's for ghouls and gals for Halloween posts.

Day 3

This was heavy and felt like paper so I thought it was a magazine. I was right! But look what one!!



EEK! I love it! She couldn't have picked a better one for me. 450+ mixed media and papercrafting projects!




YAY! Guess what I'm doing this weekend? AND with the new Victoria I got in the mail too. *doing Happy dance*

I'll be back on Monday with number 4. We are getting a new to us table and chairs tonight. It was Sean's Grandma's and it is a solid wood table that is square and has leaves to pull out too. Perfect size for my kitchen/dining room/craft room/computer room/.... ya get the idea - the house is pretty small!

2nd present - I guessed it to be a small photo album



But it wasn't! It is so cool. I think it is all handmade. It opens up to...



This is what it says on one end. Then there a lots of pretty stamped envelopes and these are all attached!




Inside the envelopes are different bath salts and herbs to put in the bath.


They smell so pretty. Can I go have a bath now?
