Change of plans... since we got a BLIZZARD today. I couldn't even get out of the driveway since there was glare ice under the foot of snow!

Impressed? Yeah I am.

Stupid weather.

Stupid climate I am in.

Stupid.

Maybe next year I can be blogging from November to May from Italy!! Yeah... I can dream. Speaking of dreams/wishes here is Day 5.

Whirled Peas and Day 4

I ordered a charm a while ago and I got it yesterday! The charm came with a chain and was shipped from Two Dog pond in Nebraska! It is handmade and she has tons of different ones. I see more in my future!

She wrapped it all pretty...

In other news - this is the front of Jaclyn's book. Her theme was around the world and I did a spread on where I would like to go.


I got a world map and got pictures of where I would like to travel to and put arrows to each place.

21 Day Challenge!

I heard about this and decided to join in. I wanted to think of something I wanted to become a habit and I thought of an art journal. I have had the book for months sitting on my desk and I have cut out things and words for years(!!) hoping to put them somewhere. So this is the perfect opportunity to use them and give me a push to make this a habit!

So... this is my cover - the edges are in gold too. All blank pages, I think I got it at the thrift store along with a blue one. They are like brand new!

It is going a lot faster than I thought and lots of fun. I want to keep making pages now and I have other things to do! I think it will be a neat thing to do while watching TV.

Leap Day!

I was out today and decided to take some pics I've been wanting to take for awhile. These are just up the road from my house. The frozen world we are in...





I am in for a weekend by myself! I long for these sometimes... No one else around and the whole day unfolding. I have 9 easter circles to do and a couple circle journal pages to do so that will keep me busy and I will post those next week.

Sarah is at a weekend party for her friend's 16th birthday. She made a card last night and did the envelope all by her ideas! So happy when she wants to do something "artsy" as that doesnt happen too often! Here is the pic of the present and card she made up.

Metal Discovery

Got this from the library Metal Craft Discovery Workshop by Linda and Opie O'Brien and it is awesome! My mind is swirling with ideas and I'm looking all over for metal and the things to alter it.

I have to make 25 by the sea charms and guess what material I am using?

If you like metal and altering things... you'll love this.

Sweet Treats!

I was gone yesterday... At the last minute on Friday - Sarah and her volleyball team found out they were going to COSSA which is like regionals for Ontario. They hadn't practiced in over a week and a half and had one practice before their first game on at 11 yesterday. They were all thinking it was a waste of time.. the other teams were gonna be too good etc... They all rallied together in the second game and won against the top team and went on to beat out 2 other teams to come home with this!!



Silver medals! and the final games were so close... Everybody played awesome and Sarah said it was her best all year. Very cool to be there and see all that - even though it was nerve wracking! Way to go Sarah!


Last week I also got my sweet treats book which was the recipe book of 42 pages from different people. It is so neat and I love my handmade cover from Karla! This swap was by Beth of Gathering Dust and Karla from Karla's cottage. Everyone also swapped out a hand made tag.

I wish I had had more time... some of these are so good! It must have taken them a long time to make so many. It's like 25 little peices of art in my hand.
