Christmas Eve..
We are here and having dinner here tomorrow. All snuggled in and snow is falling... better than the RAIN we had yesterday. YAh Rain in Dec in Canada? Right.
Last minute baking and preparing and now to sit and watch some movies and maybe some games?
Have a good holiday!

What I love about my holiday home
Karla is having another party! It's only 930 am here in North Canada and theres tons of people already there!
What I love about my holiday home is that it is cozy...
Ha! Not this cozy.... don't you love that cozy is a nice word for small? Being cozy, I don't have a lot of decorations, I have no place to store them! So there are some little things...
Like door hangers,
A neat mirrored star I just got,
And 3 angels I got at the thrift store for 2 bucks!
I don't have my tree up yet, we usually use a fake tree that I store at my moms, but this year I had an urge to use real again. I was at my friends house yesterday and she said we have tons! Lets go cut some down. So we did - we cut 4 small balsams to make one puffy one, cause one would be too straggly. Once they are together, you cant even tell! Now, I have a convertible so I was wondering how I was gonna get these home?! We got them in the trunk and put the seat down and voila! Trees. I had to take a pic.
Isn't that crazy? I have put some large stuff in that car. I've had to put the roof down and then put it in that way, but I've had it packed at auctions right to the roof. I hope to put the tree up today. This is a good time since I dont want it to dry out too much before Christmas.
Did I mention I am having Christmas in my cozy (read SMALL) house? Yeah! And it is good there will only be 6 of us and good that we now have a table. A table would be good....Here is a pic of said table, with the poinsetta Sean got me and a tablecloth I got for my birthday. It fits perfect and it has pine cones and chipmunks on it. Perfect for here. I also have 2 more chairs and a leaf for the table.
It makes it more special that the table was Seans grandmothers and his Mom is here for Christmas and loves that we have the table she grew up with.
I guess the best thing about here has got to be outside though. Even though I complain about it - I do love the look of the snow. Especially today when it is not too cold and it is sunny with nice blue skies.
Have a good day everyone!

Typewriter Keys
I put some great keys up on ebay on Tuesday. These are off an old Underwood and it is a complete set of 48 with some nice big shift keys.
The auction is here
I also got my fairy name and thought I would share....
Thorn Hailglitter
She is a protector of the lonely.
She lives in brambles and blackberry bushes.
She is only seen in the light of the shooting star.
She wears purple and green like berries and leaves.
She has cheery turquoise wings like a butterfly.
I would like to meet this fairy.

I am getting some great circles in! I will show you when I get most of them.

Cookie Day!
I might not have said anything about my obsession on here -yes you know about my books but I'm talkin about cookies!
I love all kinds and I just have to keep them out of my house sometimes because I'll eat them all! I'm sure some of you know what I mean.
So when I saw that Scrappy Jessi was having a Blog cookie exchange I had to join.
This recipe is one I just found and I am planning on making it this year for the holidays. It looks delicious. AND it has chocolate- another love.
Ingredients:
1 cup red or green marashino cherries( drained well)
1 egg
1 cup icing sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup pecan pieces
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
16 oz. semi sweet chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1. Finely chop cherries and pat dry. In a bowl, whisk egg. Gradually add sugar till mixed. Stir in peanut butter, then pecans, coconut and cherries. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Pinch off 1 tsp and roll into a ball and place on sheet. Continue with remaining mixture. Refrigerate or freeze till firm, about 1 hour.
2.Coarsely chop chocolate and place in a small bowl with butter. Microwave, stirring halfway until chocolate is almost melted - 2-3 min. Stir till smooth. Dip balls in chocolate to coat and place on parchment.
3.Repeat with remaining balls. Refrigerate till chocolate sets, at least 1 hour before serving.
Can be in the fridge for up to one week in a sealed container or freeze up to 2 months.
Makes 100 balls.
100 balls?! That's a lot for me since there is only 6 of us but I think I can cut this in half fine. Or just make them BIGGER! lol.
I now get to go look at some other recipes. YAY!
