Some more art...

These are some pieces I did last Sept. in Squam art workshops.

These top 2 are encaustic - covered in beeswax. Love it! and I would love to do more.

These bottom 3 are on canvas board - nice! and are small collages. I like the saying on the bottom one " My dream is to expand my horizons".

Oh yeah.

Another altered book

Some art journal pages

This is the completed page from an earlier post... I like how it reminds me of early school pictures. The sun is cut out of paper and white cartoon clouds.

"Live a life of Passion" - YUP.

This one is all about my books. Can't imagine life without them. - now THAT doesn't sound geekish at all does it?! :)

Keeps me sane.

I also am loving my new white pen. It is a Gelly Roll and it just glides over all that paint!

This is the next one in progress - Life is the colour you make it. - for sure. And YES, that is how we spell colour up here. :)

Well, back to painting... some new things in the works!

Trash to Treasure

Well, not really trash :)

This was part of an old dresser that had come apart. A little drawer in front with a brass handle.

I stripped and cleaned all the wood and then painted a scene on it for a present for my friends.

The base drawn on there...

and all finished and sealed.

It's a wonderful walnut and the front of the drawer turned out to be burl wood which is so pretty!

I see this all the time at my friends house and they love it.

Now that I think about it, this was one of 2. I should do another one for me!

Painted Paddle

A small paddle painted for a cottage rental business.

Buster

A small painting I did for a friend whose dog had passed on.

He was a great hunting dog and companion for fishing so I added some collage.

Some mail art...
