Well, these are a little different! This is my next spread and I was inspired to do something more me. I first painted the background a nice flat black. So dark and it covered well.
I wanted to do it reverse. I kept the solid paint as a border and collaged in the middle! I wanted to see what that would look like and then add a solid piece of paper of an object instead of a person and write on that.
I like how it turned out - night and day from the last spread but these pages have ME in them.
And that's always a good thing - right?
I love love love this!!! Find your own voice is essential - great job :-))
ReplyDeleteDefinitely make it your own. I love the neutral colors, the untouched ephemera, the doodled border!
ReplyDeleteThat's ALWAYS a good thing! I really like what you did with the reverse frame and collage inside. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteWow. That really came out nicely. I love all the newsprint papers on the black background. What a nice combination.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, these are GREAT! I love how you've used the other pages as a jumping-off spot and carried on in your own style.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we should be getting from trying how others do art - how we want it! Good for you. I like the pages you came up with. I'll have to keep this reverse style in mind!
